The University of Michigan is 25 miles from Detroit Metro Airport. Rental car services are available at the airport. In addition, there are ride shares and taxis available. These can be found by the terminal exit. It takes 30 minutes to travel from the airport to the university. Additional information is located below.

Travel from DTW to Ann Arbor

There are several methods of transportation between DTW and Ann Arbor:

  • The Michigan Flyer is a bus that can take you from the airport to Ann Arbor for $15 (or a round-trip ticket can be purchased for $25). Note that tickets must be purchased in advance to guarantee seating.

  • Rental cars are available

  • Taxis and rideshares such as Uber and Lyft are available for around $40 - $60
